Located in the fashionable St Nicholas Market area of Bristol, the innovative Brooks Guesthouse boutique hotel decided upon the exciting innovation of having retro caravans as rooftop accommodation, as a funky alternative to regular rooms.

After visiting our works, Brooks' proprietors Andrew and Carla Brooks opted to have four Rockets custom-built to fit the available roofspace, instead of the vintage American caravans that they initially considered.

They arrived on low-loaders and were hoisted 100ft into the air and over the top of surrounding buildings, before being securely bolted down onto a steel frame, in their new permanent rooftop home.

Landscaping and subtle lighting created a unique atmosphere, and the Rockets have been fully booked since they opened to the public in 2014. Facilities include shower rooms, comfortable double beds, tea stations and mini-dining and seating areas

BBC TV CBEEBIES 'DENGINEERS'

We were approached by BBC TV to create a Mini-Diner as part of a new series called Dengineers, for children's TV.

The brief was to create a Rocket that could be installed in the back garden of a house in Frinton-on-Sea, for an eleven year-old cooking fanatic called Nathan.

It had to be built in sections and assembled on site. At one point this involved a large group of people manhandling the Rocket over two neighbouring gardens and fences! We completed the project in record time, and Nathan was thrilled to bits with his amazing Rocket Garden den...
